What if I had barely even met the child's mother and she was my next door neighbor and she decided she needed money for the child and wrote me in as the father and I found out many years later? I don't see the logic in any of this.

If one day twenty years from now you find out that someone wrote you in as a child's parent when they where born and you just found out about it because it took that long for the courts to find you(we know this can happen from similar events in the news) you would have no choice in the matter to accept the ruling?

I don't see how that is legal. Can you give me a detailed explanation that cites references so I can understand it better? I am not making this up. It is happening and I don't see how it can be happening.

Read your state's rules of civil procedure. Google them. Read them. KNOW THEM. Then read the establishment of paternity of statutes. Read them. Know them. Understand them.
