What is the name of your state?Tx Although you may not take my suggestions seriously or valid, i know your all not beyond helping if possible.I'm a 25 yr old single Parent whos child was taken into emergency custody.Someone called in a report of drug abuse to CPS.They claimed i used in my home exposing it to my child on a daily basis.I provided them with a mouth swab.During the time we were waiting on the results i attempted to remove my child from my Mothers home.He was placed there by me until i completed a move.Few weeks at the most.I was almost arrested!!Emergency hearing came, afterwards i was asked to take a instant UA.I agreed to do so only if my child would be returned to me with an apology. My worker agreed. This was witnessed by my Mother,Grandmother, and Pastor.I then had provided them with TWO clean screens. When i confronted my Worker about dropping her case she handed me a service plan.Random UA,Evaluation,Parenting Classes.I'm allowed to see my son 4hrs a month.NEVER have they asked me for another drug screen.Could i be correct in saying they are holding my child hostage or am i missing something? What reason could they have had to go on with my case?WHERE is the cause to continue?Does anyone know what would allow them to have an open case on me????

I believe its time for you to get yourself an attorney.

Yep, definitely time for an attorney. Ask him/her about a hair test - that would show if there's been ongoing drug use or not.

As for what possible reason there might be for an ongoing case - you'd be in a better position to tell us than vice-versa. What about Dad? People you associate with? Your extracurricular activities? And so on.

Can i ask to Court for legal aide?
Beg, borrow, use your credit cards, find a lawyer that will allow you to pay in installments. Sell your 401k do SOMETHING quickly to retain an attorney.

Okay. So you've been known to associate with drug users. That's a problem, don't you think?

A verbal "agreement" is as good as the paper it's written on. You are NOT in the driver's seat here - CPS is. So you may as well resign yourself to jumping through every hoop they tell you to. While asking "how high?" and "can I do it again?"

Thats a hard thing for me to do right now.I wanna fix this quickly and it's not moving fast enough for me.Service plan calls for Parenting Classes,i can barely get my Worker on the phone. No way around not complying with service plan and this working out huh?

ok so we're being punished because she gave a dirty UA?What if this Women completes a drug rehab program and even if i happen to bump into her one day shes rehabilitated, right? Why am i still being held accountable for her?Poor choice of company, they think if i did it once i may expose him again to someone like her?

No - you have no choice but to do what the case worker tells you to do. You know you have to take a parenting class. Find out what an acceptable provider is - if you can't get your worker, speak with anyone and simply ask them if there's a list of who can provide the class and what sort of documentation is required to prove you've taken/completed it. Give some serious thought to moving to a different area w/other neighbors. Ask about a hair test for drugs.

Basically - turn into Miss Compliance.

I moved to a another town,30 min away from where we were.Couldn't that be reason enough for a home study atleast for unsupervised visitation? When i asked about visitation i never got a straight answer. My paper say i am Temp.Posessor what does that mean for me?
