My cousin is a diabetic and just moved to here a year ago. She is a type 2 diabetes. When she lived in other town her doctor's monitored her diabetes and she was on avandia. She went to this doctor here who did not once do bloodwork, he did not monitor her diabetes, he did not prescribe any meds. She told him several times about the diabetes, had her records sent to him and so she changed doctors and the new doc is running a bunch of tests to see if there is any damage from not being treated or monitored. if there is damage to her body can she do anything to the other doctor because to her and everyone she has told this doctor was negligant.

Adult onset Diabetes can be controlled with diet and excercise. She should have been monitoring her own blood sugar with a monitor already. THere isn't enough information to determine if the doctor is responsible or if she was not complient with treatment.
