How can you be sure that he'll be allowed to drive to work and school? Getting a restricted license is something you generally have to plead for AFTER it has been suspended. And, in some states, they don't issue them for DUI convictions ... I thought VA was one of those states.

When the DMV or the court says so, that's when it counts. The attorney doesn't control those entities.

The attorney is basing his opinion on prior experience and it is not likely a requirement that he be issued a restricted license by the DMV or the court ... just an FYI.

I choose to believe what the atty says- he's tried many cases in this particular court.

I also choose to think positively. It helps. :)
