Its generally described in words and measurements. Google for some examples of easement wordings. You have to look at the deeds for both parcels. Yours and the other one.
Are not the words a survey? There give certain points such as directions, pins or other markers. And also widths and length of easement. Also who are the parties that will use this easement. Would not this be on a deed that a person gets when he purchases a property?

It might or might not be on the deed that is recorded. That is why a thorough search of the records is required.

OP you keep ducking questions about the hIstory and adding new wrinkles such as you moved the roadway some years ago! IT is entirely possible that people have been using this new roadway with your express or implied permission ....and that set of facts , if true, is a killer to any successful claim of a prescriptive easement ...and you might have.a clear right to block the road and revoke permission ...and grant monthly passage licenses to friendly neighbors for say $1 a month ...and the annoying neighbors are charged $500 a month to pass. ANd the critical time clock for a prescriptive easement is 10 years PLUS meeting all the other requirements ..which seem unlikely.

Your Attorney can tell you if the time clock regarding the easement -access the pita property was using would have started all over from scratch when the parents died and left it to the kids.
