executrix time frame??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ga. i posted a few weeks ago about my uncles will and got that cleared up. question now is how long after everything is settled does the "executrix" have to get a property deed etc sent to my father? (uncles property left to my father). i think the executrix is waiting as long as possible to see if my father is going to die anytime soon so she won't have to part with anything...

As soon as the qualifying event (in this case, uncle's death), dad essentially owned the property. There is no advantage, from an ownership point of view, to wait. If dad were to die now before the deed, the property would go to his heirs.
