Gracie, my husband and I had to file with him being the injured spouse. We received half a refund, 2 weeks before we received the letter from IRS stating they were taking the money.

The payments don't even start until May (or has that changed recently?)
Those that filed electronically started getting their checks pretty early. For those who filed by snail mail around June and in order by the last 3 digits of the social. This is from what I recall by looking at the site...Don't hold me to it though. (The old memory doesn't always work the way it used to).

Was the injured spouse form filed with the return?

If it was, that is probably the reason that the notification letter came after the refund.

1) At the time I posted (4/18/08), NO money had been sent out.
2) It's based on the last 2 digits, not 3

I still have not received any stimulus money for my ex's stimulus. DO you think I can call the IRS on this issue and see if they can tell me anything if I give them his ssn? Or do you think they would send some kind of notification to the division of child support office?
Is there any one out there that got a stimulus check due to support arrears?

IRS will not be able to tell you anything.

Have you tried talking to your CSE caseworker? If not, give that a try. By now, they should know if an intercept was done or not.

Do you know for sure that your ex filed a return?

Do you know for sure that your ex had a tax liability?
The stimulus payment is essentially $600, or $1,200 if jointly filed- UP TO the amount of the tax liabilty. (for example- my husband and I file jointly, so we should have gotten the $1,200, but only recieved $863 because that it what the tax liability was.

Is your ex remarried? Is there a possibilty of ex's spouse filing for injured spouse?

It's already been asked, but you didn't answer.

Do you KNOW that he filed a return?
Do you KNOW what his tax liability was?
Do you KNOW whether or not HE received the stimulus payment?

You really shouldn't be holding your breath on this one...counting on a stimulus check or a refund check to land in your checking account just isn't wise.
