What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? va
wife divorces me . gets custody of son hardly allows me to see child. child support ordered in Alaska. moved to Texas to live with family. never could get on feet financially. never paid child support. child passes age of 18 yrs goes into air force and is now 28 attending college. Ex-wife asks the state of Alaska to transfer order to virginia and collect child support under the Child Support Recovery Act of 1992. the new amount after raising the monthly amount and adding 6% interest $132,000 .
I have remarried and have two boys 5yrs and 8yrs that I am supporting. My present status is unemployed. the Virginia child support agency is suspending my drivers license. I think my son should receive the support but since my wife is not able to account for the expenses that she could not afford. I am wondering if she was in a hardship. She was in the air force and is now retired. I never had a career. When a guardian Ad litem is assigned there is a down to the penny accounting required. I think I am being forced to pay for her new car or house. She severed parental rights years ago and still would not allow me to even talk to my son on the phone. This is America right I do have rights ...or when a man is divorced he loses all rights. Do I have any defense here?
