Husband went to Courthouse and go a copy of the Motion to Dismiss. He was not sent a Copy by Mom. she typed a letter One sentence. I file motion to dismiss in above case 5/20/09.

The Motion to Dismiss has no legal reason. Just Mom feels he is not interested enough. And that she wishes she hadn't filed because there is a general air of conflict, choas, ad she feels she made a mistake by filing.

He is going to file a response asking motion be denied.

They have a status hearing on June 5th. A week and a half ago theu were both in agreement to file a Final Order with their stipulated agreement and be done.
Did dad file a counterclaim?

I think that now is a really good time to assess the motivations of everyone involved.

Even forgetting that your husband created children with not one, but TWO other women while married/committed to YOU, it seems a bit weird that you are preparing this paper work, acting as intermediary, etc between these people.

What is YOUR goal regarding the child? What is your HUSBAND'S goal regarding this child?

Ohiogirl-Orignial motion was filed. Husband Filed Response that he was in Agreement with Motion but no counterclaim.

CJane- During this affair we where done, we where selling house and seperating and then his mom sued us for Grandparents visition Rights and thru that year long ordeal and lots of therapy we came together again and have since gotten married.

When child in this case was first Born. Mom had reunited with her husband as well and wished for him to be parent to child. They have seperated several times and at each seperation this process has started and end when they reunite. This is the first time papers have been signed and court documents filed.

My husband spoke with an Attorney when the child was first born and was told since they have never divorced the child was a product of the Marriage and filing to establish Paternity would be fruitless in the State of Maryland. He was told the Mom would have to file.

As to My motive I would like to think they are good. I never wanted any more children after our youngest who is 11. I would certainly love to pretend somedays that he never cheated. I honestly would prefer that he not have gotten other women pregnant. I guess I just feel like I made the Choice to marry him after all of the other stuff so I just have to deal with it. Kind of like you made you bed you have to lay in it.

As to his motive: I believe the Grandparents Visitation case along with Therapy has made him a better man. He says he is trying to do what is right and best for the Child. I will get him to post tommorrow. He has Visitation with is other Child tonight and that time doesn't get interupted.
