I was fired for going out with a guest even though I have never seen an employee handbook. Since the incident I have asked for, in writing, the reason I was fired. My former manager has refused. She has since made me sound horrible. Can she do this? And if there is nothing against going out with guests can I successful sue her for false termination and/or defamation of character?
Please Help!

Unless you have a Union, they probably can fire you for any reason except age, race, sex, color, creed, etc.
