Can our employer make us use PTO even though we worked over 40 hours? Example: I have worked 44 hours by Thursday evening, and need to go to Doctor Friday. They still make us use 8 hours of our PTO time. I don't see how that is legal, when we have already worked 40 or more hours that week. They make us use it even if just to take off for 2 hours... They automatically do it. We are Hourly employees, in State of Alabama.
