My friend hasn't worked in over 10 years. He signed up for pua in Arizona back in October of 2020. He got $117 in October and November and part of December. Then end of December he received $420 cause of the extra $300 government handed out basically.

He received $420 all of January February March April & the first week of may. Then they requested 1099 forums or w2 or something like that. He needed to provide those by may 27th. Obviously he can't provide this. Basically his full claim was false he never worked or didn't even have a self contracting job or what ever u want to call them.

Also des contacted him reguarding his unemployment & needing to report his income for his food stamps he never reported his unemployment earnings to des for his food stamps so he committed more fraud.

What kinda charges is he facing? What are they going to do arrest him at the apartment?

Keep in mind during the last 4 months I've been telling him basically what he was doing what he was doing was illegal & to sober up but he wouldn't do it. He doesn't even know the kinda trouble he's in.

I do know in Arizona every week u file it's 2 years prison time if he lies or files fraudulently which I believe he did.

This is a situation he should discuss with his attorney. Is he aware you are posting about his alleged criminal actions on the internet?

Your friend needs an attorney. What you say he has done is a felony.

Tpatzo, if you are currently sharing an apartment with this friend, now might be a good time to start looking for a new roommate (preferably one who is not a felon).
