We have all joked about this in the past, how about for real?

Tentative Idea:

WHEN: Saturday March 15th 2003

WHERE: Portland Oregon


Everyone invited. Bugabou and myself will donate $500 to rent a hall and supply appetizers. Anyone else want to help out great, but NOT required.

Just come hang out and meet your favorite Free Advice friends and put a face to the name. We will make sure there're several computers at the convention logged onto Free Advice so we can post from the event.

Good Idea??? Anyone Interested for real???

If the people on the East coast and middle of the country want to participate post your response. Maybe we can center this thing in the middle. I'm willing to fly or drive if we set this thing far enough in advance to plan for it... By then I will have CUSTODY of my sons!!!!!!!! And you all can meet them and I.

I will do my best to be there! Hopefully I can come up with some money to contribute to the festivities. It would be cool if we could meet in the middle. Call me a chicken, but I don't relish the thought of flying right now, even though I'd love to visit Portland (someone said they thought Portland was right up my alley and I should visit there). I'd rather drive to St. Louis or somewhere if necessary. Hmm, that would be a cool place to go. I have some unfinished business there with someone anyway. *wicked laughter* Well either way, if it is at all possible for all of us to get together, I will try my best to be there. Can't leave on the 12th though cuz it's my daughter's 2nd birthday. My husband's going to have to stay behind though cuz I don't have anyone to watch the kids that long.

I think that sounds like fun. Although I don't mind flying it probably would be better for everyone if it could be a centraly located place. Although I am not sure about meeting people I have met from the forum in person- it could be dangerous. lol

Grace I won't bring the girls and you can bartender for me all night.

Liable can bring the salt if he is treating for Magaritas. Grace can make a mean one I bet.

Aahh ryry's mom. They are 1 and 4. They are so wild I can't even take them to the grocery store..LOL! They get awnry! Before I'm even halfway through shopping, I'm ready to turn around and go home, with a splitting headache. But they could come and go back to the room when they get too tired. My oldest is a little easier to get to sleep in a strange place than the youngest. She wants to stay up all night if she's not in her bed in her room. I think it's the age. My oldest did that to me one weekend when she was 2. I had to leave my trip early and go home.

Kido, Well I don't know how my Margaritas taste expect from what people have told me because I don't like them that much, but I hear they're good.

Oh yeah, LMSP, I know you like Zimas. Ever tried one with a Jolly Rancher in it like cinnamon or watermellon? It is GOOD!

BTW-OT-just how do any of you deal with unwanted/against court order phone calls from psycho's? never an emergency-never time sensitive-never about kids-just a**inine remarks and stupidity-(hubby still has yet to see his stolen senior picture make it back to him either-for those that knew about that...)

I make the world's best margaritas-no salt, on the rocks-like them tart, too....Medori is my favorite kind! lol

LOL! I heard about the bus barn. I have no clue! I can get some pretty funny mental pictures though!

Oh yeah, I forgot, that makes 3 headaches, not 2. LOL! You can dress them up but you can't take them out. Whenever I go somewhere with all 3 of them it turns into WWlll! That's why whenever I need to go to the store I leave the kids with him and stay gone for about 3 hours. Yes it takes me that long. I have to walk up and down every one of those aisles and I take my sweet time. If he can do it so can I! Whenever I run into an aqaintince (sp. too lazy to look it up) and they ask me didn't the kids and so and so come? I'm like "HELL NO!!!". If you had to deal with them you'd know why!

LW, I don't know what a bus barn is. I envision a gutted bus on blocks with straw and chickens in it and maybe a pig or 2.

No, I can't take credit for the jolly ranchers and zimas. A co-worker(bartender) and good friend of mine got me to try one and it was so good. I don't know if he invented it or someone he knew. So now, I have to either have one of those in it or a lime if I drink one. You can also try a dash of a liqueur, like raspberry liqueur, in it. That's good too.

Hmmmmmm..... might be insteresting. (yes, I spelled that wrong on poipose!) Deliverance music?? I actually watched that movie for the FIRST time last week! Seriously. Never seen it, and I'm from the South. Go figger.

OK, Central location? Hmmm... St. Louis? Nah... you don't wanna go there Grace, to much sh*t going on there. Trust me. It aint pretty. LOL Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas (can see IAAL gagging right now) Nebraska, Kansas, or even here in Missouri. I can get us some good discounts on motel rooms prolly where CJ worked at. They also have conference rooms for up to 700 people, inside pool, fundome (for the kiddies that come) hot tub.... it's a nice place. If you guys wanna think about it and let me know, I'd be more than happy to mail out brochures for the hotel to everyone. They also have an on location bar, restaurant, room service... There's plenty to do here as far as sight seeing too.... and there's a waterpark, and all kinds of stuff. I'm not trying to push for me not going anywhere either! LOL Just thinking that maybe everyone would like to go somewhere where there are plenty of things to do as well, and make a whole weekend out of it. You can look here to get an idea of what all they have there...

Just throwing out an idea here. Also, if everyone doesnt want me to have their mailing address, if one of you have a scanner, I can send the brochures just to you for the hotel, and all the attractions here, and you could scan them for everyone else. OK, that's my .02
