I'm going to suggest the fantasy alternative.

Go with ryry's suggestion of the motorhome. Everybody pile in, and head for California.

It would probably drive IAAL nuts to know that his State was infiltrated by a high percentage of drunken step-moms from the South and a few coming in from NJ...

My lil' bug shouldn't be drinking! Therefore I guess I will be the DD! Not to mention I'll be the size of a house (8months) in March.

That's 8 so far. It would be really nice to get at least 20 people. You get cheaper rates for larger groups. What about PT? Think he would want to go? How about hubbies? Find sitters for the kids and you and hubby take a weekend trip! Let me know if you are bringing hubby so we can count them in.

Well if you find Omaha boring you will hate the rest of Nebraska considering Omaha is the biggest city!

Bug, I live in a town not a city. We have 5,000 people and the only exciting things we have are a huge (and i mean bigger than the damn town...huge) lake and a really bitchy city councel who hates each other with a passion. I will not post my city on here but I will email it to you.


Find a sitter? Yeah right? Aren't we bringing our kids to some of this? It could be like a family reunion...have family day during the day then get a club that offers sitting and party at night.

I love the idea and of course I am partial to the indiana idea.. but there are justifications.. the number of available facilities in indianapolis far outweigh any of the other options.. It is centrally located on a population standpoint not geographic.. there are plenty of hotels...

personal reasons would include I get to see my parents..

so I am in if its indy or some other midwest local but heavy travel is not in the books for this semester...

Ok that's 9 definates (plus 7 possible hubbies) and 6 Maybe's (plus 6 possible spouses).

Bring the kids! I found some hotels that offer "Kids stay free"

Also checked out weather and stuff in NE. In March it's still in the 40's, so I think that NE may be a bad idea. Need some SERIOUS ideas on where to have this.

Ryry, it's ok to "let the cat out of the bag". Rad and I decided, "what the heck". We are totally happy about the baby and want to share it with the world!! Even designed a beautiful web page for our family. It's in my profile!

Ok, I've done some looking about Nebraska. And I think I might agree with ryry's on this one! LoL Nebraska from what I can see, looks like Kansas!

OK, maybe I'm pushing Missouri a bit, but it's gorgeous country down there. (Ozarks) I'm a big mountain fanatic, and I love the beach too.....CJ and I are going to have our wedding here, on one of the beaches, at sunset. So, I'm kinda partial to the Ozark resorts I guess.
