Actually, upon re-reading the OP's statement. Seems an odd definition of "no longer hers" and "legally mine."

I went and set up an account, and put cash in it, for the appraised amount of the house. So if / when she goes into a nursing home or whatever, the cash for the house is there, ready to go for the house.
