I got denied when purchasing an AK-47. I was caught with a gun when I was 19 with a silencer but the charges were dropped, I thought. I'm in Ohio. Anyone out there that can help me figure this out?

You're going to have to find out what happened there. There are lawyers who specialize in that. Just google "gun rights lawyer
ohio."

You need to have your record sealed in Ohio. Have you done that? Here's some information.

The following offenses are considered firearm-related offenses under ORC 2923.14(A)(2), and having two or more convictions for any of these offense disqualifies you from restoring your firearm rights using this method: Firearm on or about offender's person or under offender's control (ORC 2941.141) Automatic firearm or firearm muffler or suppressor (ORC 2941.144).

I got this information here: (link removed)

Good luck - seems like if you have only 1 offense, you may be able to buy the AK-47 if you follow the correct steps.

Ok thanks. I’ve done that but a lot of them are super expensive. Anyone you can recommend?
We cannot make attorney recommendations on this forum. You should call several attorneys in your area and ask about, and then compare, their rates.

Just do a Google search. There are quite a few lawyers that do this.
