Well, I think the Devil must be in need of a parka because... DuffX turned himself in
So for now, and for a possibly long time, he's got a concerte room and meals provided by the Tax Payers.
So...I was advised by an attorney to file ExParte asking for full legal & physical custody and for DuffX to have no visitation.
So I will be in court Mon...cross some fingers for me please

I think this is the only time I havent been sick with stress about court.
If the jail is willing and able to transport him (they don't have to) and he is able to appear I would love to hear him explain..."Um ya Mr Judge I havent seen my child in 17 monts but now that I'm in jail I want to see her"

There's a place in Michigan name "Hell, Michigan". I lost the picture in the move where there was a temperature sign outside that showed the temp being 32 degrees. The caption was ..... drum roll please ...... "When Hell freezes over."

And so I don't get in trouble, it's 22 miles NE of Ann Arbor, MI.

Update to the update

It just so happened DuffX was in court for his other matters at the same time as our hearing so...they brought him accross the hall (hehehe...too fun to see him in a jumpsuit and silver bracelets)

Anyway judge asked him how long it had been since he had seen Fancy and why it had been so long.
He said "extenuateing circumstances" and indicated twards his handcuffs. He also had no idea hoe long it had been, only that it had been over a year.
He said he was being released (he was ROR) and did not concent to having his visitation suspended.
Judge re-apointed GAL (the same one who was never able to contact him last March)and set the matter for a hearing mid Dec.
I have a feeling it's going to be a merry holiday season...Rumor Mill has it he won't be showing up.

*On a personal non-legal note...Fancy, out of the blue yesterday, told me she never wants to see DuffX again because she forgot what he looks like and she figures he forgot all about her so why shouldent she forget about him too.
She followed with "So when are You and MrPerfect gettin' married? Cuz I want him to be my Daddy, he never fogets me."
I didn't know what to say.

Here's another personal comment.....That's a smart little cookie you've got there! When it's all said and done, kids are smart enough to figure out who REALLY cares about them! And sometimes it's just not the egg or sperm donor.
