You are correct - - there are other attorneys beside me on these forums. However, I'm the only California Family Law attorney on these forums. No one, and I mean no one, could have helped you more than me.

So, unless a big miracle occurs, there will be no one to help you like I could have for free. That's not just puffing - - it's the truth.

IAAL, thanks for your help with those cases, I printed it out before you went back and deleted it and then told me I would suffer. I am already suffering so what will be new?
Believe me, that 25,000.00 will keep me fighting for it. I do have tough skin, more than you know, but I don't think it should be worn 24/7 especially when asking for simple advice or help, but I guess I was wrong.
I have to say, your response actually made me laugh. I am not saying that sarcastically, I really mean that. Like made me admit to myself, "Yea, he has a good point". Sorry to have pissed you off, sorry you feel you can't help me now because of a misunderstanding, but thanks so much for the help you did give, I will look into that and or have someone else OFF OF THE INTERNET look into it. Whatever happens, happens. I now know not to ever, ever close a CS case.

Don't listine to a word IAAL tells you, and this supposidly christian woman who gets all huffy with you because she ASSUMED you assumed she was christian because of her name is also, quite frankly out there. I am on a mission to let everyone know that this so called lawyer IAAL is a wack job and the only good advice that I have seen come from him is to find yourself a good lawyer...ie. NOT HIM!

I'm afraid you might be barking up the wrong tree. I will admit that IAAL takes things too far from time to time and does a bit more bashing then necessary sometimes.. HOWEVER.. to say he doesn't know his stuff is flat out UNTRUE. IAAL has helped me and several others here out MANYMANY times.. he will even show the proof that he's right so no I don't simply go by his words and if he doesn't know the answer because it isn't his field he will look, read, see if he can help and tell you he can't help you. It's one thing to be upset because of something he said it's QUITE another to say he doesn't know what he's talking about.

The mission you speak of, of who's "calling" is it? Did a spiritual higher being show you the way on this mission? Just curious Johnson2.
From the looks of it, you have not been a frequent on this board as others have. It looks as though you have just registered recently. I think you need more than 10 posts to decipher whether or not IAAL is credible. However, he is VERY credible. Yeah, he may be slightly opinionated, but some people are.
I believe he knows what he is talking about, but you must look past the insults and opinions. "read between the lines" so to speak.

Awesomemom, you make what ever decisions you decide to, and base them off of your own findings, and not what someone else tells you to do or not to do. (I know it sounds as though I am telling you what to do, but it is not meant that way.)
No matter how much advice people tend to receive, sometimes, people learn better from their own experiences and mistakes.

IAAL doesn't bother me, while I think he knows what he is talking about most times...this time the info he sent me was incorrect. Which is normal. Different laws for different places I suppose, but he doesn't bother me. This is only an online thing...it is not like I have to deal with him on a daily basis. He is actually quite funny at times.

MY RESPONSE: Bullcrap. California is California - - it's not "different law for different places". That statement is a big indicator to me that you're a liar. You see, you're suffering from "sour grapes." The information I originally posted was absolutely correct. I do this for a living. You just can't admit it, because I "told you off."

So, here's your chance to prove it - -

1. Type of a "snippet" of what I originally posted to you, with at least one case name. Surely, you can do that. You said you printed my entire answer before I deleted it. So, just a sentence or two with a case name.

2. You said I was wrong - - well, then tell me what was said to you by "someone else".

Something is very wrong here. Our writer's post doesn't make sense, and here's why - - A California court cannot "excuse", "waive", or "forgive" arrearages. It just doesn't happen, it's unlawful, and if it does happen it's "reversible error." I'd like you to quote from the supposed "letter" you received from the court - - exactly and verbatim.

The court, in its discretion, may craft a schedule or plan for payment of the arrears, but it has no discretion to waive or forgive any part of a support arrearages debt. Support orders are not retroactively modifiable as to accrued arrearages. [Ca Fam § 3651(c); see Marriage of Cordero (2002) 95 Cal.App.4th 653, 668, 115 Cal.Rptr.2d 787, 799, fn. 21]

This rule also applies to accrued interest on unpaid support arrearages. Interest at the legal rate accrues on the past-due installments as a matter of law and becomes part of the principal obligation; any forgiveness of accrued interest would thus be an impermissible retroactive modification.
