It sounds like once the divorce goes through you should easily qualify for Medicaid, or at least low cost state-subsidized health insurance.
I sure hope so, I have worked very hard in my lifetime, I don't expect hand outs, I just want to be able to take care of myself, have some money to spend on my grandkids and just enjoy some kind of normal life. I still am not sure what hit me after 20 years of marriage. I will figure it out, its painful but what isn't. Thank you on this, I did wonder about medicaid too.

Wow, this entire reply is well said. Also with your last statement is the reason I threw her under the bus and didn't reply. No reason too. Thank you for your help, its very informative.
Too bad - Pro is one of the more helpful posters, while lattie-boy is not. Plus, you just offended a lot of senior posters who may no longer be so willing to help you.

Well, if she cannot figure out why I would need to have him pay for my attorney fees after I clearly explained my predicament in my original posting, then I don't think she is someone at this point who would make a difference. One has to read between the lines and clearly she did not. However, I have received excellent help in here already, I don't think I have need of anymore but if someone pipes up, sure...I will heed their information, its why I came here. I am sure she is considerably knowledgeable, but I didn't have the right feel with her. It was best not to get involved there. I'm not looking for a dispute...I am needing answers. My situation is quite obvious.
