Unfortunately the "smart a**" attitude makes the board of little use to people who are genuinly seeking assistance :p I have found my answers....and am polishing my shot gun waiting for any perpitrator seeking to shut off my water.....as to why I did not talk to my lawyer before....it has taken me this long to get fed up with it, and unlike many other individuales we try to handle things in person, but apperently our landlady just didn't "get it...."

Well, let's see.

Did you ask the land lady to help you by putting a seperate cut off valve for the non-house line so that she could resolve her issues without disrupting your life.

Has your husband considered showering at night to prevent missing the morning shower?

If you approached you LL with the same nasty attitude that you came to this board what did you expect?

Actually Gadfly, we spoke very kindly to our land lady about it several times.....she simply does not care and does as she pleases.....unfortunately because it is summer in Phoenix and temps are regularly in excess of 100 degrees showers are generally needed both night and morning. I don't know why you think I came on here with a nasty attitude....perhaps the baby screaming because I had no water to make her bottles for 4 hours, and my son's g-tube pump alarm glaring loudly in my ear because fluids we low got under my skin. However, I see NOTHING nasty in my original post ;)

My response:

It took you OVER 9 TIMES to figure out that your landlady just didn't "get it...."

Who's stupid?

I wish the answer were that simple. I have no transportation to get to Walmart to buy gallon bottles of water, nor, would I be able to go anyway as I have to be with my handicap child all the time.
Sorry...But I have to agree with Jetx. This has happened at least 10 times that you have stated. Beyond completing other measures that have been suggested by other posters....I would have definately stocked up on bottled water at some point between the 2nd and 4th time.

And you said that it is shut off at the longest..a couple of hours at a time....So what is wrong with filling up (and keeping) a pitcher of water in the fridge for these "emergency" situations? And what is your issue with the water hose?

and am polishing my shot gun waiting for any perpitrator seeking to shut off my water
First....That wouldn't be a good idea. Second....Where in the hell on your property would you know to look? You don't even know where the shut-off valve is.

Jetx asked:
Oh, and what did your landlord say when you contacted them in WRITING about this problem and 'demanded' a 24 hour notice prior to water shut-off??
I would like the answer also.

.....in the mean time I am still with out water and being told to make baby bottles from a garden hose
Poor, poor baby......boil the damn water!...Damn please whine somewhere else. Some people like those in disaster stricken areas are begging for a water hose to work!

Sorry..but you are the only one making you a victim.
