Same time shipment, he shipped the same day my son shipped. My son gave a camera instead of the cash that the seller should have received.
Well I suggest your son needs to make good on his end and send the seller his payment and ask for the camera back with your son paying full shipping charges. Your son should have done this YESTERDAY!

This isn't about right and wrong and what my son should do. It is what he did do, now one simple question. Will he be arrested or taken to civil court.

I can't answer what might happen or where he will have to answer for his action. As to if it is a crime, or a tort or a breach of contract, it depends on what his intent was when he entered into the deal. If he never intended to pay, it will be all three and he could be criminally liable, contractually liable and a tort committed. Intent is hard to prove, but if your son doesn't have access to $1,100 anywhere, he may have a problem.
