But then I do not know who you are or what you do. But from a legal prospective, and from what the original poster has indicated, DACA may be viable.

And it may not.

From a legal perspective, he will have to be EXTREMELY careful in terms of prior and current employment and taxes owed.

None of that is considered with DACA.

I think you are not familiar with DACA and the directives for same. You are over thinking as I suspect you are not an attorney.
But that being said, you are considerate about this poor soul's options, and for that I applaud you.

To the Orginal Poster regarding DACA

I have done some research and your friend might want to contact Catholic Charities in Indianapolis at this phone # 317 236 1500. I do know that many Catholic organizations as well as other religious and non religious immigrant advocates are handling DACA applications. And there has been success with same.

There are those of us, our President included, who feel that childhood arrivals who were brought into this country as children and who had no say in that matter and who have been raised in this country to be Americans, should be Americans. They should not be discarded at high school graduation.

It is not the Dream Act but it is something.
