I purchased an RV last fall. Dealer had all winter for warranty work. When picked up this spring, we noticed the ceiling is sagging right below the air conditioning unit. Dealer just informed us the roof is not strong enough to support unit and they want to “remove six lights, radio speaker, ac vents, corner trim and batten strips, take down 2 ceiling panels, raise the roof at A/C and provide reattachment for ends of panels and then reinstall all removed parts.” They told us we could come pick it up in the meantime while they are waiting for warranty approval. We asked if it was safe to pick it up and travel if the roof wasn’t structurally strong enough. They said it is but condensation could build up. We informed them that there is now way we would’ve purchased this camper if the structural issue as known. Our concern is that there may already be damage between the ceiling and the roof that we will have no idea about. Water damage is an incredible issue with campers. We really want them to put us in a different camper. Do we have any recourse?
