What is the name of your state? NJ
My mother-in-law died in February of this year. My husband, along with his 2 other brothers, are joint heirs of her estate and she died with a will stating that. The will is going through probate right now. In the meantime, her home is covered under her homeowners insurance policy but nobody is living there right now and we are concerned, because her grandson uses the garage to work on his motorcycles and what if he has an accident? Can he sue her estate and possibly get the house? She has a basic homeowners policy, not sure of specifics but nothing fancy or extra. We are concerned about this grandson; he is not very responsible and we would rather he not be at the house at all but need some legal precedent or advice to give the executor (husband's Uncle) so that possibly he can padlock the garage and keep grandson out.
Thanks in advance!
