AWOL is not the anwser!
What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
I am currently in fort hood texas awaiting to get chaptured out which could take months. I heard that fort sill discharges soldiers from awol/desertion within a week. My question is , if I go awol, and then turn myself into fort sill will I get discharged out within a week like everybody else? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Out for what?
It is unlikely that you will get discharged in a week for anything.
If you are not satisfied with how slow your command is moving then file a formal complaint expressing your concerns. Keep a copy of your complaint for the record. You are limited in further action, as in you can't take matters in your own hands and go awol because your dissatisfied.
Going awol could be a costly mistake if you are being separated with a decent discharge already and are only waiting for the paperwork to come through.
If you are already in trouble your just going to compile your problems by going awol, so don't.
