I know this isn't going to sound good, but we need advise on how to proceed.

Background: My husband and I almost filed for a divorce about a month ago, but decided to work things out. I went away for a weekend and when I came back we talked things out. I ended up getting pregnant that weekend. (Not on purpose, we both are happy and want the baby).

I just found out that that same weekend he cheated on me and now this other girl is also pregnant. Which would make us due 2 days apart. It's not a 100% chance that it is his, as she is known to "sleep around" (there could be a chance that it could be my husband's brothers kid).

At first the girl said her father wanted my husband to "sign his rights away" and have nothing to do with the baby or the mother. Now the mother wants him to be a part of the baby's life.

How should we proceed? He wants nothing to do with the mother, but if it's his kid he wants to be a part of it's life. Should we just wait til it's born and have the mother pay for a paternity test?

Any other advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wait til child is born, see if your husband is the father and go from there

Uuuuh..... You got pregnant when you were away that w/e, or when you came back?

Don't you just love the way the OP hints around that the girl that her HUSBAND got pregnant is a slut, when she did the exact same thing and it's okay in her situation because her & hubby are both "happy" about it?

when the baby is born file for paternity test, if he is the father, she can file for CS and he can file for visitation.

really ann marie after all of this i cannot beleive you still think you should stay together. but who am i to judge.

Well.... I'm not sure if she's pregnant because she slept with hubby during the w/e, or because she also had a tryst.

I took it to mean that the WIFE was out of town for the weekend and got pregnant WHILE she was away and the hubby stayed home that SAME weekend and had his fling and that when she returned they decided to stay together. But the more i look at it, the less sense it makes. They should just call Springer and let him figure it out!

I thought she meant she got pregnant by someone else the weekend they were seperated. Maybe I read it wrong.

Once the baby is born, have a DNA paternity test done as other have mentioned.

If Mom does not file to establish paternity or child support~ Then Dad will have to pay and file.

This 'girl' you refer to, still lives at home and was sleeping with both your husband and his brother? You might want to all get tested for any STDs
