How do you know if you have been "served"?

On the stretch of highways in question (and I know this personally), the 85% speed is actually lower than the limit, and has been so since BEFORE the installation of these cameras. I've proven this to myself time and time again when I'm going exactly the speed limit and always seem to be going faster than the "flow of traffic". Anybody setting these cameras off truly deserve the tickets they get, IMHO.

Are you KIDDING me??? your suggestion was a way to allow her to continue to speed far in excess of the speed limit.

I drive the Phoenix metro area freeways EVERY DAY. My commute to(and from) work is exactly 109 miles... per day...yeah, that's right 109 miles... You follow the flow of traffic around here and you will spend your life in traffic court.

If both of you read and noticed, I choose my words very carefully, I never said she should speed but to go with the flow of traffic it is safer.

What I find funny, is both of you who drive this same area, one claims you can not drive the speed limit since everyone is going so slow and the other claims everyone is over the speed limit

Heh, that is amusing. I'm not sure what FairIsFair drives on, but my experience comes from 101 (both NS and EW), and the 60 (EW, obviously, since it's not a loop).

EDIT: of course, the 60 is pretty much just East Valley; by the time it hits Phoenix it has ended and become the 10, n'est-ce pas?

perhaps we simply travel the same roads at different times of the day

the traffic at 8 am is surely quite different than at 11pm.

I drive the 101, the scottsdale loop and/or the agua fria.... the 60, quite a bit of the 10, occasionally the 51, always the 202, except for the weekends with all the closures... which forces me onto the 17... ROTFL....

Update: She called the number on the ticket to pay via credit card. The person who answered the phone told her to write a letter to the judge, asking for the citation to be dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction.

I don't understand why someone at the courthouse would tell her that? Should she write the letter? The media in AZ is always slamming the photo radar tickets.

Anyone??

I DID find out that photo radar tickets on a freeway (in AZ) do NOT get reported to the car insurance.

She wants to write the letter. What should the letter say?

You tell us the grounds upon which you/she thinks the court lacks jurisdiction and somebody might offer you a little help as to how to word the letter.
