bifurcation

I live in CA.

It has been 10 months now, soon-to-be-ex claims financial disclosure is not over yet. so I request the court to bifurcate the case. My soon-to-be-ex does not agree it. Usually will the court bifurcate the case or not? Usually what reason the court agree/deny to bifurcate a divorce case?
