What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
I applied for legal aid, but was told I probably wouldnt qualify because there wasn't any physical abuse. The attorney that I spoke with was really nice though and told gave me a couple of websites that contained forms for getting the divorce started. I am pretty postitive that the divorce will be uncontested, but there is a possibility that he may contest when he finds out that I filed for child support with the attorney general. I am wanting to go down to the court house and file today, but I want to make sure I have everything I need before I do. I have the original petition for divorce all filled out and ready to go, just need to make my three copies. I also filled out a Conservatorship, Rights and duties order (may not have needed this one, but wasnt sure. And last but not least an affidavid or indegency which I will get notarized on the way to the court house. Is there anything that I'm missing or don't need?
