Hello,
I am renovating a flat ("apartment") in London remotely, so I've hired an interior designer to do it. She is hiring a contractor to do some of the work like plastering the ceiling, changing the faucets, changing the TV set, etc. How do I make sure that she takes responsibility for everything? If anything happens to the property, or if someone gets injured doing the jobs, how do I save myself? Should I have the contractor sign the contract with me and the interior designer as well, to be able to rely on his professional indemnity if anything happens?
Thank you.
