On the transcripts....I don't know your timeline or anything, but my husband in the beginning was pro se and had me (the unruly step-mom) transcribe the cd...of course you can't use your version in court, but I saved it in MSWord, called a court reporters office and said hey, this is the deal can you give me a break, since I've done most of the work for you, make sure I haven't missed anything?

They said yes, as long as the CD came from the court, which it did they made changes to it, formatted it and because it took less time, they charged him half.

Worked for him...thought I'd include. OMG...56 pages....geesh...think of the money he's spending on his attorney...when he could just give into you for free.

GOOD LUCK!

Interesting... but court is the 17th. There is (are you ready?) ONE COURT REPORTER for my entire county, who is authorized to make transcripts.

Yes. One.

No, he can't. ;) There is no giving in here... and he'd rather pay the attorney to (hopefully) get him off than pay me the fines.

CJane, first, I've never noticed anything "normal" about the law.

Second, Missouri has notice pleading which means that all anybody has to say in a pleading is pretty brief. The fine points are explored in depositions and other discovery.

Sorry, I just read your original question and nothing else; so if anyone has already given you this answer, then I am SORRY....

(Not really, but it looks good.)

GEESH...only one? That sucks lollipops!

Yeah, that is right around the corner. Then I agree with Casa...bring a portable CD player with you paused right where you need it, if it comes to that. That would blow their mind.

Heh. It's ok SJ... I still adore you.

But no, no one had said that, so you're clear.

I said it...sorta. when I said you need only reference the issues, and combine that with providing the audio as evidence. (Though I'm unsure of the procedure where you are re; providing an audio copy to the court and all parties per your evidence code).
