Look the judge is only looking at the facts. Yeah you may have only had a glass of wine as you say but still. The fact is that you were drinking and then even decided to drive afterwards with your child in the car. It's only 30 days to go for you now, but the way the judge looks at is as if you get drunk and have a wreak with your child then that is life. My father is an alcoholic even though he has not actually drank beer in over 3 years. From the way I understand it is that its never EASY but it gets easier. Best thing I can suggest is that each time you think about drinking you decide which is more important, Your child or that beer. Each time you will need to approach this the same way. I know you only see it as having just a little drink but from my personal experience that little drink that my dad had basically ruined our relationship with my father until just a few years ago. Your child is young now but still they know what you do. Just take it step by step if alcohol really means that much to you. Its up to YOU on this one and ONLY YOU can decide which one you want to be a part of your life.
Wish you all the luck in the world to make the right choice on this one not only for you but so that your child can enjoy having you be his dad.
One more thing.... You say its only over visitation but without the visitation and time with your son what does custody do for you???
