Taxing Matters

Not enough information here to really answer the question. It matters what court this is (small claims/justice court, county court, district court, etc) what kind of case this is, exactly what is is you were served (e.g. a summons and complaint or something else) and what the purpose of the hearing is. It is pretty unusual to have a hearing scheduled for just two days after you are served with the complaint, if that's what was served. If you are a party to the case, generally the way you ask for more time is by filing a motion to continue, but without more info there is no way to guess if that is possibility in your situation.

This is parent-child relationship case, it is Texas and Collin county. the purpose of hearing is to get modify an exsiting order by the petitioner. It is a District Court

Is this for an emergency hearing? What is entailed in the modification? Do you know the reason behind it?

Show up at the hearing. Otherwise the other side might get everything they want be default.

I am not sure it you received proper notice - 1 day seems rather short notice, unless it's an "emergency". But it can't hurt to say when asked that no, you don't agree with the other party, and that you would like a continuance to prepare a response.
