What is the statutory requirement for relocation notification in MD?

How do you WANT it to change things? As LDi said, it doesn't HAVE to change anything at all... 30 miles is really nothing at all when it comes to seeing your kid...

How difficult will it make it for you to pick her up/drop her off at school if you retain your midweek overnights?

Is the school district significantly better/worse than where she is now?

What's the housing like where she is vs where she's moving to?

It might really be up to you whether this changes anything or not... hopefully based SOLELY on the best interests of your child, and not on how it impacts YOU. Even my ex didn't fight me on my most recent move, and he got 10 days' notice... he didn't fight it because even someone as blinded by anger as he is could see it was truly a 'good faith' move.

Not a clue yet, but I will be checking that out later today

It would be 30 miles out of the way(each way) to take her to school/daycare. Picture an upside down triangle. We both work by the bottom point, and currently live(including daycare and school) at the upper left point. ...She:rolleyes: ... want's to move to the upper right point.

I think the same leading towards worse, but I need to research that.

Similar

I've done it before, two nights a week(non overnight) plus eo weekends with me doing all the driving. If that's what it takes, I will do it.

I'd gather that this is to move in with her new boyfriend, but that's not relevant, nor do I know this for fact.

If they move...

Does the fact that this would be the 3rd elementary school that Little Miss Pro Se would be attending and she is only going into the 3rd grade next year be a question of stability?

And relocation notification is 45 days...

That's borderline I think. Lots of people move once a year, so that's not quite at the point of instability....any more than that is much closer to being an issue. If mom really is moving in with her boyfriend and it doesn't work out and she ends up moving again in a few months, then you may have something to work with on that issue.

You can make a fuss if she didn't give you 45 days notification, however a judge might consider that a local move, and some judges don't feel that local moves require the same type of notification.
