I have been served a 50c Civil summons no contact order this past Saturday sept. 3rd. The hearing is tuesday sept. 6th. The problem is I start a new job on tuesday morning. I can not contact anyone or the clerk this weekend for a continuance. If I don't go to my new job tuesday morning , I loose it. Could I just go to work and let my wife call the clerk of court for another date given the extremely small amount of time to prepare? Any thoughts on this situation is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
