What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

So I'm an 18 year old man, last month me and my friends were hanging out and heard that Jacob Sartorius was doing a meet and greet near us, which basically is when celebrities meet up with their fans.

We went there, all a little drunk and spent most of the time heckling Jacob, causing his security guards to send 2 of my friends out. They forgot about me and my other friend and we decided to meet with Jacob. He realized that we were the ones heckling him and he asked why we didn't like him. I responded with a statement which insulted his masculinity and height with the expectation of being thrown out.

Instead, he talked with us in length and after a while challenged me to an arm wrestle with the agreement being that if he won we would have to be fans of his to which I agreed (he seemed quite defensive). We had a right-handed arm wrestle (he was left-handed) and he won. After winning, he didn't let go and kept my arm pinned. I told him that this was hurting my arm and he said sarcastically "Oh, I'm sorry I thought I was weak and (statement I made from earlier)". I apologized to him and retracted my statement before he reluctantly let go. This maybe went on for 1 minute, during which my arm went numb.

I'm not thinking of actually suing him, I just would like to know hypothetically whether it's possible to sue him based on this and how much money I would get. This is just to satisfy my own curiosity, I wouldn't want to take him to court since I was in the wrong (due to my drunk state, I don't usually behave like this) and am aware of this, even though he was definitely in the wrong as well. Plus it's a very bizarre situation and I'm not sure it'll be believed!
I see no lawsuit available for you to pursue.

I guess Jacob put you in your place nicely, huh?

I studied Law at a very basic level (in England, which probably makes a difference) and I thought that it would be either assault or false imprisonment, is that wrong? False imprisonment because I tried taking my arm away but he wouldn't let go. And assault because he made my arm go numb. Also, I felt intimidated/pressured into apologizing.

Neither.

The laws in England differ from those in the US.

You owed Jacob an apology. You and your drunk friends disrupted Jacob's "meet and greet" with his fans. The fact that you weren't removed from the area by security earlier was simply an oversight on the part of the guards.

I may have owed him an apology, but that didn't give him the right to try to injure/humiliate me. But anyway, it's not worth the negative attention or money to sue him regardless.

You voluntarily entered into an arm wrestling match with a child. Any humiliation you suffered when losing the match to the youngster was of your own making.

I suggest that the next time you and your friends think it a good idea to get drunk and taunt others in public, you remember your humiliating experienced with Jacob and stay home instead. Your behavior at the meet and greet was certainly not your finest moment.

When I say humiliation, I don't mean from losing the arm wrestle, I don't care about that. Arm wrestles have more to do with technique than strength anyway. The humiliation was from keeping my arm pinned down and keeping me in an awkward/painful position until I apologized.

This was a 1 time thing, I'm usually mature and above taunting others.

Of COURSE you were humiliated, as you should have been. You got beaten at arm wrestling by a child. He is obviously stronger, with a better technique, and smarter than you. It's so embarrassing, I'm surprised you're even telling people about it.

He's only 14? I was hoping he'd be older.
He'll be 15 in October... Use your google-fu next time you decide to harass a child. Though I'd be embarrassed to admit to what you and your buddies did. Oh, and..... isn't legal drinking age 21 in CA? Google says it is. But I knew that. ;)

Who's taunting who now? I've said I was in the wrong and I'm trying to be mature about this. To refute your points:

A) I doubt he's stronger than me, I think he had better technique. Plus shorter arms make arm wrestling easier to win. While I'm not the strongest person in the world, I'm a relatively tall adult and Jacob does not look strong at all.

B) I would hope he would be smarter than me when I'm half drunk, unfortunately he wasn't. We were equally immature at the time.

I don't know why I have to explain myself to someone who is supposed to be impartial about everything. And your notion that embarrassed people shouldn't speak out is dangerous, e.g. rape victims.
