My wife and I both had individual retirement accounts (IRA), but she decided to cash hers in. We live in the District of Columbia, a separate property "state." If we divorced, would she be entitled to funds from my IRA because it is a retirement account or does the separate property rule apply to retirement funds such as an IRA?
