You raise good points, Dubdidit. It is important for everyone on this forum to have reliable legal support for what they state as fact. False facts benefit no one.Thanks. One of the reasons I wanted to post the outcome was to add to the collective knowledge of the site. If anyone in the future ask" do I have to have gone to er to get a settlement" the answer isnt always yes.
I'm not complaining per se. Its just a bit troubling to find that if someone comes to a well known site for help they may not get the correct info because quite a few people assume a negative outcome will happen therefore leading to discouraging comments. For example had I taken what was said on this post about me not being able to do much without a hospital bill I would of just not followed thru. I don't know if it's just people with no real experience chiming in or what but if someone is going to answer maybe they should really think about what they are saying and how it may affect the reader. I've been gotten after for posting facts without a source and I understand that. I'm just saying perhaps the same scrutiny should be applied to all post. Or hell maybe we should all be required to cute our responses. I for one will do that myself if chime in on anything. It's just my 2 cents. I am not trying to stir the pot, argue or debate. I truly hope everyone has a good day
That said, much of what you read on this forum will be offered as opinion and not fact. And nothing you read on this forum should take the place of information and advice you receive from an attorney licensed to practice in your area you have hired to represent you.
We are generally provided by a poster with a few paragraphs of select one-sided facts. No definitive answers can be given by any of us based on this type of limited information.
