Then, at the initial interview, one can presume they will hold her friend accountable. Is she planning on going into the interview and saying: "Not my problem" when asked about the friend?Initial review has already been requested. Let's just hope that the reviewers don't have a similar bias.
Why wouldn't she just go in and say who had the car??Then, at the initial interview, one can presume they will hold her friend accountable. Is she planning on going into the interview and saying: "Not my problem" when asked about the friend?

What bias?Initial review has already been requested. Let's just hope that the reviewers don't have a similar bias.
Well, some people might say that it's not up to them to prove the city's case for them. "YOU prove who did it - it wasn't me."Why wouldn't she just go in and say who had the car??
Heck if he is innocent he shouldn't have any problem proving it. Who expects their friends to do this??
Boy wish I had a friend who I could loan my car to that would bring it back with the glove box stuffed full of parking tickets.
Which then falls back to them being RESPONSIBLE for it...Well, some people might say that it's not up to them to prove the city's case for them. "YOU prove who did it - it wasn't me."

and who might say that?? ROTFLWell, some people might say that it's not up to them to prove the city's case for them. "YOU prove who did it - it wasn't me."

That is just bizarre...Which then falls back to them being RESPONSIBLE for it...
The word Responsible (in this context) does NOT mean who committed the violation.
The RO of the vehicle is RESPONSIBLE for the fine. That's in black and white. That is just bizarre...
You have a very narrow focus. The RO of the vehicle is RESPONSIBLE for the fine. That's in black and white.
The RO can seek reimbursement from the driver of the vehicle who parked it incorrectly. What is so hard to understand? Oh yeah...Mr. Loophole...
Oh sheesh. You have a very narrow focus.
If... the registered owner was not responsible for the violation,... the issuing agency shall cancel the notice of parking violation
What is so hard to understand? Oh yeah... Mr. Guilty until proven innocent.
You FORGET who was driving your car?!?!I agree with Jim why should the owner of the car have to pay. They should actually have to catch the parker. That is only fair. If they want to give that car a ticket then they should wait around until who ever is driving it shows up. I mean how is the owner of the car supposed to know what happened. Anyone could be driving that car. Sometimes I forget who was driving my car.
That is so wrong. Jim is right, you shouldn't get to have all that space. why do those handicap people need that slashed part too. They have enough spaces all ready. and those chair things go straight up and down they don't need all that extra room. How are we supposde to know that we can't park in that part with all the lines acrossed it?The slashed lines are also covered in the section - see above.
That nasty little "joint" liability section of 40200 gives some leverage for that argument.
And the law seems to go both ways on the issue.

And he's right about parking too. I should have to leave my car and walk at least let's say like 30 feet or something away from it for it to be called parking. Otherwise I am just idling and could speed away at any time. Especially, like if I backed in or something.
