Invasion of Privacy and Harassment Part 2 of 3- site would not let me post it all at once

15. On forums, now, I’m asking for opinions and possible advice. Any help will be appreciated. I numbered the paragraphs in case anyone has questions about anything specific. I ask several questions listed below; answers I’ll take only as possibilities to think about. I realize that it’s not fair to the lawyer or others to give legal advice in such a manner without being hired for services and that I might take the free advice, use it, then report the lawyer for bad advice. I wouldn’t do that, but I’m sure somebody has. I just want to get an idea of possible options and maybe something that I could say to a lawyer without giving him/her the long-winded story, to keep their interest in my story long enough so that they don’t decide I’m crazy and become agitated.

16. I call what they’ve done and are still doing, “Malicious Invasions of Privacy.” Furthermore, throughout these years, there have been dozens of different employees doing this, and five different managers plus a regional one who took my complaints and did nothing to ease the problems. She didn’t even come back to see the room after she instructed me to move my stuff from the floor so they could do “deep cleaning” on a specific day. Another manager also pulled that trick, and instead of an inspection, left a broom against my door. I also told the regional manager that people, other than myself, can hear the car alarms and honks and slams going on all night. She did not care. During the tenure of two managers, the alarms and stray honking stopped. It, and more harassments started again with the fifth manager. I had thought it was normal for car alarms to keep going off all night long.

17. You might want to know why I haven’t just moved out. There are a few reasons, but the one that’s most understandable is that I came here for a business relationship- needed a place to live for a while. I called first and was told they clean weekly. “Weekly” to them is closer to twice a year, and all they do is sloppy vacuuming and make the bed. Everything they’ve done and haven’t done is because of their personal feelings and emotions. I’m proving that you can’t ruin your own contract and chase someone away based on that, and they are MAAAD. And to be even more honest, I believe they owe me. And they continue to owe me again and again. And I believe they also owe other “guests” whom were here and had harassments, as overflow, forced on them too. They had no idea and probably never thought about it. This company offers “hospitality.” And I’ve heard and seen nothing that proves that. Everything is a lie or a manipulation. Most of the gang is half my age and younger.

18. Another reason I’m not moving out is because I want to stay during the law suit. If the company is approached a certain way, I think they would want to work with me to catch the people who’ve done these things not only on company hours, but on their days off too. And their friends and relatives, and employees from other properties. Am I being naive? I would think that the company would want to treat me better once they are presented with so much evidence, even though I’m sure certain upper managers know about some of it. After all they’ve done, it would be fitting, and a lesson that instead of driving me out, they get fired! They shouldn’t be allowed to work in customer service and definitely not in a position of trust. Then I move out. See below about “I don’t know what’s going on in your personal life…”

19. You might be wondering “How did it start?” I don’t know why at first, but it seemed to start the first night when they seemingly manipulated me to move to “dirty” room and what happened during the move with kids, after 10pm, running around me each back and forth trip I made. Then later, when they’d run on the balcony, the kids would stay a few seconds and stomp in front of my door. That stopped when a new manager was installed approx. two years later, but the harassments continued. I didn’t realize that the move on the first night might have been the first harassment, but as things unfolded over years, it made sense that they had me move to a “bad” room on purpose and could better cause me discontent. This room is perfect for what they’ve done. Continued…

20. The manager had lied to me several times and had already started with the aggravating noises. Whenever I was in the office on business, the clerk would suddenly have “computer problems.” It happened every time and even happened to a friend who did business on my behalf. It’s one of a very few harassments that stopped after I told the regional manager. One of the times the clerk held up the line, she called the manager and over the phone, the manager promised to give refunds and comp rooms because they couldn’t ‘figure out’ how to fix it in an hour while people waited. Held up the line for an hour on purpose. (The only legit people in that room were the two ladies in front of me.) I told the ladies being held up in front of me, that they should get it in writing because the manager lies right to your face. That’s when they stepped up the harassments and found an excuse not to comp me or give me the $500 refund that was promised (that I was never going to get anyway). I asked the manager when I would see it and she just said “No.” I don’t argue with people so I didn’t mention it again…

20.1 Also, while the people in front of me were being held up on purpose, other people started crowding in- evil eyes all over me, but I didn’t catch on at first. I showed the lady behind me that I was making an audio recording (didn’t work out) and she became very nervous. I think it was the manager’s mother. She went outside for a few minutes, then an employee came up behind the desk, and whispered to the clerk and she nodded- one good nod. Then someone came in and went to each of the people behind me and told them something in their ears. After a while I started seeing some of those same people more often than is natural, EVEN AT A BUSINESS A FEW MILES AWAY! It seemed that when I’d go to nearby businesses, people would be staring and acting strangely.

20.2 Management has thought of almost every conceivable way to cause me trouble and they’ve told other people things that made the other people ignore me or mess up my restaurant order and even a haircut miles away where people from the hotel were ALREADY there because they have a friend who informed them that I had an appointment (that’s the only explanation I could come up with). The stylist started crying and the same people seen at the hotel stared at me. There is so much more to it than what I’m saying here because believe it or not, I’m trying to keep this post short. Oh, and contractors who need access to my room have been disrespectful too. SEVEN YEARS OF THIS. And things have turned up missing. Don’t mean to sound like a victim, but I have never explained this much all at once.

21. To continue how it started, I’m sure the manager went through my things. She made diagnoses that I am mentally ill, without knowing anything more than handling empty prescription bottles. (They had said some things to me that they couldn’t have possibly known unless they went through my stuff, probably trash that I put in the can outside.) In addition, she made a diagnoses based other meds, and she has told at the least, dozens of people. It was obvious from what she found, that it’s private, all being very personal. Dozens of people know secrets about me, and I don’t even know what they are. She said to me, “I don’t know what’s going on in your personal life, but you can’t stay here.” There’s more on that too. I don’t know what she has said that makes people hate me, but I believe that she thought, based on prescription meds, that I was already mentally ill and it would be easy drive me completely crazy while running me out of the city. I have experienced extreme psychological torture- never have I caused anyone any problems, certainly not on purpose. I thought the impromptu review about lies was fair, but I’ll never do that again. I am sure she has made up things thinking I’d never find out. No one in all these years has given me any kind of a clue as to what they’ve been told.

Please just ask a simple question. If we need details or clarification, there might be someone who will take the time to read your three-thread novel.

Threads one and three were reported to the moderator for locking.

There is no way in Hades that anyone is going to read all of this. Based on the little bit I did read, I'm guessing a mental health professional might be of some benefit to you.

I have now read all three threads and I agree with zddoodah that a mental health professional might be a good place for you to start.

When you tell a fantastic tale like the one you tell here, it is difficult for others to believe in the truth of what you say. Having the support of a mental health professional can help you when trying to convince others you are not imagining what you’re experiencing.

To answer a couple of your questions from Part Three:

You risk defamation by publishing false facts about identified or identifiable people or entities. If you cannot prove the truth of what you write, it is legally best not to write it.

A lawyer is unlikely to offer his/her services on a contingency (not “consignment”) basis. If the hotel is as bad as you say, a local news outlet might be interested in investigating the conditions.
