I'm sure they do somewhere and some poor fool still types with it, but to my knowledge no one has changed the term CC to reflect modern technology.

And we still "dial" a phone . . . but I haven't actually "dialed" in years.

I'm sorry I was trying to make a joke back, you made me laugh. On the original question about insulation...Thanks for all your input with this, I really do appreciate having other opinions. One day here in Alabama we will catch up with the rest of the world. If court action is needed there is in place a good landlord/tenant act, but unfortuantly you can be a slum lord here without any action being placed against you. And believe me the Landlords here are aware of it. I have been in residential property management for 18 years, but I have always workd for large companies that take excellant care of there properties and this is my first experience renting from an individual. I have never had to fight so hard to get things done. Thanks once again.

Have you contacted your city or county govt center to learn wether older homes that are rentals must be insulated by local codes to a certain standard? in most places If a local code addresses a issue that state govt has not then the local code prevails. SO consider doing some more homework to learn if this has been addressed.
