Bringing this back to some OP-centric, present tense advice:
OP - Are you safe right now? If not go somewhere safe. Call a domestic violence hotline. Leave your abuser and get away.
If you are safe, and free of the abuser, then still call a survivors help line or local resource who can refer you. You may want some counseling or therapy. You sound very traumatized for this incident. Even though it happened a few years ago it may still weigh on you heavily, and that's ok.
You are strong and can work this out. Asking questions about what happened is a good way to feel empowered.
This may not be an option for you and your eye condition, but you might consider laser or other kinds of eye surgery, even if it doesn't restore perfect vision. A close friend of mine had laser surgery, even though she knew she'd still need fairly strong glasses afterward. She did this exactly because she did not want to be helpless if an assailant knocked her glasses off or they were otherwise lost in an emergency/disaster. Something to consider and may help you feel empowered.
