Revised story? No where in any of her posts did she indicate that they were having sex. I came in late but in reading her posts I suspected all along that she was just talking about dating, not about actual sex. Remember, this is a 15 year old. She doesn't know squat. There actually are some teenagers out there who don't have sex.;)
If this child doesn't understand rape as it relates to sexual activity, then her parents deserve it even more.

Yes she did change her position.

at first her and his parents consented to their sexual relationship (they are worried about statutory rape- obviously would not be a concern if they were not having sex.) and now they are not having sex because of the law she was so sure made it OK for them to have sex.

Hon, if you are not having sex, then it cannot be statutory rape. You have to have sex in order for that to be the case. Just dating is fine.
Except they were having sex (hence the statutory rape comment) and now she is saying not because she wants to protect him. And her and his parents approve -- hence quite frankly all the parents and boyfriend can be in big time trouble.

Again, we are making the assumption that this 15 year old understands what statutory rape means...and is engaging in sexual activity.

I repeat what Zigner stated:

I know many elementary students who know what RAPE is. Statutory rape is rape according to the definition of statute.

Per her initial post, it is the boy's parents who are concerned about statutory rape. One would hope that they understand what rape is.
