I forgot

I forgot to add this, my blood pressure dropped to 90/70..this is during the time the nurse posted patient not doing good calling dr.

I have alway's heard if your blood pressure matches you die...Is this a Myth?...This question is just for my own curiosity.

I've never heard of that. I've also never heard of anyone's blood pressure "matching" (by which I assume means the top and bottom number are the same). But theoretically if your blood pressure is anything other then 0 it means your heart is beating, so you're not likely to be dead.

I first posted this under small claims...

I posted this on the small claims part of the forum, but got in trouble again for starting another thread. I will learn someday..I hope !

Ok...here is my question

In the admitting dr's dictation ( from my medical records I received). She states that she explained all medications, precedures, etc. and I agreed. This paragraph in the dictation is a TOTAL LIE.

I know medical malpractice cases can take years and that is if I find an attorney that will except this case. So, I thought about filing a Small Claims file against this one doctor for her paragraph of LIES.

Can I do this and if so what would I need to do to win this case? I am afraid the judge would take the words of a doctor over a patient and their husband ( that is if she is willing to LIE in court).

I live in MO...this happened in IL...so, would I file the small claims in MO or IL?

Could this hurt a future malpractice case?

I am angry and I want her to ADMIT SHE LIED.

Thanks for any help,
Lisa

If you are going to sue the doc, you sue for everything in one lawsuit. Otherwise you are going to screw up your case, if you have one.

I have to tell you frankly, you seem obsessed with this and while I think I understand that, it seems to be that it cannot be conducive to your recovery. See a lawyer or two, get their opinions, decide whether or not to proceed with a lawsuit. If you are going to, hand it over and let the attorney deal with it. If you are advised that a suit does not have a reasonable likelihood of success or isn't financially feasible because of the difficulty of proving damages that can be reduced to dollars, then let it go. Get some targeted therapy and move on.

Thank you..

las365 THANK YOU for answering my small claims court question.

Yes, I am obsessed. Please try to put yourself in my shoes. I am ANGRY and I am taking your advice as stated in another post I just now got my medical records for an attorney to look over. I will be calling Monday and setting up counseling. ( I have not had to go to counseling in over 2 years). I was getting BETTER as far as anxiety and depression goes until this happened.

longsally111...This is NOT a total repeat. This case has been growing ( that is not the right word, but I hope you know what I mean). I DELETED all my other post to start over because I had too many questions and too many post so I put them all into one.

I am just asking for oppinions. Noone has told me if they feel like I have a case or not.

I know I have to go to an attorney to know for sure, but I would like to have oppinions. I thought that is what this forum was for.

No one has told you whether or not you have a case that 1) has a reasonable likelihood of success; and 2) is financially feasible to pursue, because no one here can. Your situation is too complex and your damages too difficult to put a monetary value on. It would be irresponsible for someone here to either encourage you to pursue what could be a long, emotionally wrecking losing battle, or discourage you from pursuing a winnable case.

I think that overall, people here have been fairly accomodating and tried to be helpful to you. They just can't give you what you want.

The difference between the systolic and diastolic numbers of your blood pressure is called pulse pressure. It represents the force that your heart generates each time it contracts.

Low pulse pressure could be an indicator of heart disease or shock. Yes, if you do not receive immediate intervention, you could die.

OK, my opinion is**************..it's doubtful.

I'm glad you'll start counselling and hope you could resolve some of your anger/obsession issues.

I hope it is ok to ask this here

I live in MO ..but, as you know this happened in IL...how is the easiest way to find an attorney?...I used Post your case...but, it doesn't give much room to try and explain your case. Any Idea's or links?

Those are blood test results. It's been a few months since I've looked at blood test results but they don't seem to be significantly out of range; you have to look at what the "normal range" for each test is. It should be printed on the report next to the result. If it's just a little bit off, it's most likely non-significant; these results have to be viewed within the greater picture of your health at the time in order to determine their significance. There are a few tests that an abnormal reading is an instant red flag, but I don't recognize any of those tests as among them.

Rather then posting here, since it's a MEDICAL question, you should Google the name of the test panel. Google "CBC test results" or "CMP test results" or whatever test you had, and you should find pages describing each test in the panel, what it means, what the "normal range" of numbers is, and what it means if your score is out of range.

Thank you ...

ecmst12...that was very helpful. I will google the results.

One more question if someone doesn't mind to help

I talked to one attorney today on the phone. She said it sounded like the hospital defiently acted negligent. She said the main problem is what I have had to go through to prove my problems now are from the hospital.

How do I find a doctor to state these problems are from the Hospital?....I thought attorneys normally found the doctors. I would be willing to pay if I need to for a doctor to look at my records or examine me..whatever needs to be done for him to testifie in court. Where do I find dr's to testify?....Does only certain dr's do this? I would appreciate any help on this.

Also, is it against the law for a doctor to lie in a dictation?...I know it would be my husbands word & my word against the dr's word...but, I am willing to do what I need to do to show how this dr lied....Any idea's on this would be helpful also.
