What is the name of your state? Michigan

Hello!
A E-sports company (a company that hosts and promotes video gaming competitions) did not pay me for prize money that was exclaimed to have been earned by me. I have successfully served there registered agent, have been given a mediation court date, and received default judgment due to the defendant not appearing.

Ok, I have the judgment now. I have spoken with there staff, and whenever I demand payment they go silent. It is very clear that they are not going to willing pay me, despite having the assists to do so. How can I collect on this judgement?

  • Bank levy? How do I get access to there account info? I doubt they would appear for a summons, If you can even summons a corporation.
  • My sheriff can not travel out of state to collect assets, is there away to utilize there (out-of state) sheriff perhaps?
  • Property Lean? Can I do that in Michigan to an out of state corporation?

I will be very respective to all and any ideas/ suggestions!! Thank you.

You'll have to domesticate (register) your judgment in the state where the company HQ is located. Then you can enforce the judgment through that local court.

Post the state and county of the corporate HQ and I'll give you a link to the rules.

You shouldn't have to travel to CA.

Here is the statute that addresses enforcing your judgment in CA:

http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displayText.xhtml?lawCode=CCP&division=&title=11.&part=3.&chapter=1.&article=
Here's a list of forms from the CA court self help page:

https://www.courts.ca.gov/forms.htm?filter=EJ
Looks like EJ-105 is the one to use.

You can probably do it by mail to the Burbank court location:

http://www.lacourt.org/courthouse/info/BUR
Here are internet resource on the how-to. Read them all.

I can't do anything further for you because we are not allowed to give specific step by step legal advice. All of the above is commonly available on the internet. I just happen to be better at finding stuff than the average person. ;)

If you hit a snag along the way and there is big money involved, you would be wise to engage the services of a Burbank attorney.
