Well, IF the 18 year old is still a full time student in high school, the parents must support them - this whether the 18 year old lives at home or has moved out.

I don't know if an 18 year old attending night school would be considered a full time high school student for the purpose of required parental support, though.
I saw what you posted. I learn something every day and thank you for backing up LD and posting that. In Ohio it is different though and the parent doesn't have to support though.

Thank you

Thank you to all who have responded thus far - I greatly appreciate it. This child was adopted at age 4. Starting three years ago, she began acting out. She was spending the weekend with a friend when she left their house overnight and was found in a park with a homeless man. She has been in 7 different mental health facilities. At this time, she doesn't even stay in our home. The police have repeatedly stated that, since no crime has been committed, they can do nothing. We have called the police numerous times when she has refused to stay at our house; a social worker has even called recently stating she saw our daughter wandering the streets. When the police arrive at our home, they go out, search, find, and return our daughter. She has literally told our police department that she will wander off as soon as they leave, and she has done so. The school expelling her is an alternative school and she has a 504 plan. Sorry that my statements are random.
