Okay, my cousin filed for divorce in Kentucky back in February 2012 and it still hasn't went any where. He completed his parenting classes as soon as possible and is waiting for his (soon to be ex) wife to even sign up for the classes. They had an agreement of the amount of child support he would send her but now she has changed her mind. Besides that, the divorce is at a stand still. My cousin's attorney, isn't really helping to much, she never answers his calls or his text messages and when she does and ask for him to send more information (and he does promptly) she acts as if she hasn't received the information. He has to send it to her like 5 times and then she responds that she received the first one, finally. Anyway, since she isn't any help. My question is, if my cousins (soon to be ex) wife, does not even sign up for the (required by Kentucky) parenting classes, can he still get his divorce finalized? If so, how can he accomplish this? He has completed everything he was suppose to do in a very timely manner, this is going on 10 months and it seems nothing has been accomplished. His attorney, really isn't doing anything, it seems. Thanks in Advance for any information and guidance you can give.

Just to give you a heads up you are going to be told that if you read the information thread this is not your legal problem so you should not be posting instead have your cousin set up an account under his own name and have him ask his questions.
You are not a party to the legal proceedings and are giving information in a 3rd party kind of way and the people that answer the questions here (the ones who people should listen to anyway) want to hear it from the person who is actually involved as there information is the most clear and accurate.
Sorry I know nothing about divorces in Kentucky (or in FL hence why I'm on here) hope everything works out for your cousin though.

Thanks for answering for...everyone. I guess.

If I may be so bold?

Even those of us who are fairly tough on third parties will often offer the basics as long as the third party isn't obviously overstepping. This doesn't seem like an overstepping 3rd party.

Although because the OP's cousin DOES have an attorney, the best advice is probably to have the OP's cousin find a new attorney if he's not satisfied.

Sorry wasn't meaning to answer for you or anyone else was just trying to give her the heads up of what I have seen here 99% of the time.
