Hello,

So I moved out of an apartment in NYC on July 27th, which my landlord saw and approved to give full refund of the deposit. More than a month after, after ignoring me completely, I have a message saying I have a deduction for late move out and short notice (my lease did not specify it had to be written, so I confirmed verbally 2 months in advance).

I saw there is a new law applying June 14th saying landlord has 14 days to pay the deposit. My main question is, does that apply to a lease signed in 2018?

Thank you
