I live in an apartment complex that has a public laundry room that everyone in the entire building must share. However, this past month, on three seperate occasions, I found homeless/unknown people just loitering in this public laundry room, and they will just sit in the laundry room for hours on end, preventing the actual residents of the apartment from actually using the facility for its intended purpose. The last two times it happened, I was able to contact a courtesy officer, and we were able to have them removed within the hour. Tonight, however, is the third time this month that these people have just decided to occupy our laundry room, and I called the courtesy officer over 3 hours ago, and have yet to hear back from him and these homeless people are still in the laundry room. At this point, I am livid. I would like to be able to do my laundry and not be worried that I will run into a homeless person, and I am wondering if there is anything I can do to pressure manangement into actually doing something. All the courtesy officer does is ask them to leave, but it doesn't really help all that much if 1) they keep coming back, and 2) there isn't a courtesy officer consistantly on-duty to resolve these issues expeditiously. Any advice would be great.
