There is a judgment against me in a landlord/tenant dispute. I want to buy a house but can't get a mortgage until I clear this up. How do I go about doing this? Can I negotiate a lower settlement price?
Hey, this isn't Mexico. You can't dicker. (Hahahah) You can contact the L and attempt to negotiate but L is under no oligation to accept. When you do pay it, contact the county where the judgement is filed and get specific instructions to pay and obtain a satisfaction.
